Mesa State just opened up 148 commuter parking spaces around the campus. Administration just recently purchased the parking lot on twelfth street next to Pita Pit. According to President Tim Foster, MSC was finally able to purchase the lot from a retired Grand Junction community member. MSC originally rented the lot. Eighty of the commuter spaces were converted from pay-to-park spots in the new Maverick Student Center parking garage.
