Got jobs? Career Fair helps employ job seekers

Beginning at 9 a.m. on March 31, Mesa State College will host the Career Connections Fair in the College Center Ballroom. The career fair is free of charge and provides an opportunity to all job seekers, including Mesa State alumni and for those in the community. The potential employers are not only local, but also national. The fair not only benefits prospective employees, but employers trying to find qualified canidates.

There are several tips that employers give before heading over to the career fair.

1) Print off plenty of resumes
2) Dress professional
3) Strategize what companies to talk to first
4) Prepare to talk briefly about yourself, not excessively.
5) Ask questions about positions available and what makes a good candidate.
6) Obtain contact info
7) Take good notes
8) Don’t talk salary
9) Be enthusiastic about the position you are applying for.
